heart breakers

There is a great misfortune in being a long term Detroit Tigers fan.  Sort of like dearly loving someone who is a secretive liar.

You always hope that they will see the error of their ways and become better.

You want to believe. You want to believe with all your heart.

And every now and then it does seem as if the behavior is getting better and you get all excited and happy.

But all they do is let you down and break your heart, again and again and again.

Well, the Tigers lost first place today, on the final game of the season. Now they will play the Yankees in New York for the first round of the playoffs. Can you say "Yankees sweep??"

Ah well. They did give us a dream season this year, after so many years of being sorry losers. if only they could have won that one last game...
