Here is a Detroit Free Press article on the horrendous and heartbreaking start of the Detroit Tigers 2008 season.

I know that Cabrera will never see this, but if he does I want to respond to something he said:

* Dude, no one is laughing at you. We can all tell just by watching you trying to field or trying to run the bases that you are not healthy. Pain sucks, and trying to play when you are in pain sucks. We know that you will play and hit better when you get healthier. We are willing to wait for that to happen. In fact, no one would be upset if you went on the disabled list for a couple of weeks so you can rest your hurt leg and feel better! We just want you to get better, whatever it takes, so that you can feel physically well - and when that happens, your playing and hitting will improve by leaps and bounds.

* Dude, none of us are laughing at the Tigers. We are too busy crying to laugh!!! Believe me, for us long term Detroit baseball fans, there is nothing to laugh at this season!!! I can not answer for fans of other teams, and it may well be that Royals fans and White Sox fans might be laughing. But not Michiganders!
