baseball continues

Perfect early spring day for baseball...a bit cold, but sunny. Kenny Rogers appeared to be giving a great start, and like Monday, I go off to work with the starting pitcher doing well, and next time I check the score at work, they were losing. Seems like the hitters are having some early season problems. But with the hitters the Tigers have, it will be only a matter of time before they get going. What is much more important today was that Kenny Rogers was healthy and well today (at least in the early innings, when I was able to watch the game). And Verlander looked great yesterday in the early innings. If those two can stay healthy, it will be only a matter of time before the hitters get going, and we will be winning lots of games. And I will give the young pitcher from the Royals full credit for today - he pitched a magnificent game. He should be a great pitcher for Kansas City this season!

Now, I am expecting a Tigers loss tomorrow. Bonderman is supposed to be the starting pitcher, and word has it that he was so sick today they sent him home from the ball park. So I am not expecting a great performance from him under the circumstances.

Work was quiet today - blessedly it has been all week. That is always a big relief.
