an evening with the SFJazz Collective

Two Thursday nights ago Dan and I went to the SFJazz Collective concert at Hill Auditorium. As you would expect with such a talented ensemble, they were superb! They were playing a tribute to Wayne Shorter, as well as playing many of their original compositions. the concert lasted about an hour and a half, with no intermission. It was lovely - and it is always good to hear a great marimba player in a jazz group.

After the concert, we went to a quick soup/salad dinner at the Cosi deli around the corner on State Street. The restaurant was about to close, so the service sucked big time. But the food was tasty, and healthy.

Great and enjoyable evening!
