Met Dan for lunch at a wonderful Mexican restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor on Thursday, called the Prickly Pear. Rather than the rather standard Tex-Mex you get in this part of the country, this is more like authentic Santa Fe/Southwestern cousine, though not as spicey (in recognition of bland Midwestern tastes). . Best Mexican food I've had this side of Colorado and New Mexico, other than the San Angel Inn at Disney World. That night we had a party with all sorts of chocolates and home made goodies at work, too. It was a good day.

Yesterday I slept in very late, in an attempt to regain some energy from that midnight-afternoon double back earlier this week. Nontheless, Bill and I went to a nursery and bought a large number of strawberry plants (36 to be exact). I guess I am on a home grown fruit kick right now. Last weekend we planted two blueberry bushes. This weekend it was 36 strawberry plants, as well as a bunch of day lillies and a burning bush. We are talking about some raspberry vines for next weekend.

A stupid robin has built her nest on top of the outside light right over the door which leads to the deck. We won't be able to use that door until her babies are grown. We hope we can at least use the deck for grilling and eating outside without disturbing her as she sits on her eggs.
