Feel like I had a narrow escape tonight. I was driving home from work after midnight on the freeway (US23) and the cars in front of me all of a sudden threw on their brakes, turned on their brights, and swerved all over.

There was a herd of deer running around on/in the freeway.  

I stopped in time to avoid hitting them (or any vehicles), and even better, the semi-truck behind me was also able to stop.
